Accounts Apprentice

Farnsfield Office

Are you a hardworking, enthusiastic and organised individual, looking for an apprenticeship to develop your skills further?

We are looking to recruit an Accounts Apprentice to join our busy Accounts team. You will work with and assist the Accounts department, whilst taking part in an apprenticeship scheme to further your learning.

  • Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm (depending on age)

The Candidate:

The Role:

  • You’ll be filing to our online filing system
  • You’ll be assisting with general accounts duties including;
    • Allocating payments
    • Reconciling POs to purchase invoices
    • Raising sales invoices
    • Debt chasing
  • You’ll process first checks on service requests
  • You’ll assist with ISO documentation
  • You’ll help with general office admin

IT Technician

Farnsfield Office

Custard is currently offering a fantastic recruitment opportunity for a number of technicians. We are looking for experienced 1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support technicians, acting in key positions providing technical support to our clients. This will involve working with various applications and systems to analyse, diagnose and solve issues from the office, whilst also possibly travelling out to some of our clients to provide support onsite.

Salary from £16,000 - £30,000 depending on experience, the position could also include a laptop, mobile phone, and company car depending on experience and role taken.

Experience in the below would be required;

  • Providing first-class support to our customers via telephone, e-mail, remote desktop or on-site, with an understanding of call handling, prioritisation and escalations
  • Strong knowledge and solid experience of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, ranging from Windows Server 2003-2012 R2 and Windows XP to Windows 10
  • Experience with administering and troubleshooting Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
  • An understanding of core network protocols (TCP/UDP)
  • An understanding of DHCP/DNS protocols and experience with associated applications
  • Experience with network hardware such as Routers / Firewalls / Switches / Wireless Access Points
  • An understanding of firewall and VPN operations
  • Hardware configuration and troubleshooting
  • Linux experience would be beneficial
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies would also be beneficial
  • Microsoft Azure experience and 365 would also be beneficial.
  • Ensuring constant and consistent communication for any open requests
  • Identify common questions to create help articles and frequently asked questions for end users
  • Perform hands-on fixes at both a software and hardware level
  • Be proactive, respond to and improve upon monitoring alerts to help reduce incidents
  • Analytical approach with good questioning and listening skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and also solely
  • Confident and self-motivated, with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Experience of using and troubleshooting the Microsoft Office Suite

Sales Executive

Farnsfield Office

Custard Technical Services is currently recruiting for a Sales Executive, as a result of significant growth, to join a well-established team in our office based near Nottingham.

The successful candidate will thrive in our vibrant team-focused culture, working towards assisting and achieving in both personal targets, sales team targets and contributing to the overall revenue targets for the sales team. You will be responsible for building relationships with new and existing clients and will involve the preparation of presentations for clients.

To be successful in this role, you will be motivated by a fast-paced, high energy environment and have the ability to articulate our products and services clearly and professionally. This role has the capacity to offer much more as the company continues to grow and is an exciting opportunity to make your mark within Custard. Experience of working within a sales background is essential.

Experience in the below would be required;

Candidates must have the following skills:

  • The ability to architect technical solutions for clients including cloud and onsite physical solutions
  • Work well under pressure and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Competitive, goal orientated and ambitious
  • Able to work towards a sales target within a team environment
  • Identify and develop new lines of business and revenue opportunities
  • Capable of learning new customer infrastructure environments rapidly
  • (beneficial) An interest in computers and technology
  • (beneficial) Sales experience within the IT Support or Technology Industry

Duties include:

  • Answering incoming calls into the sales team
  • Providing customer quotations over the phone and via email/CRM system
  • Following up with phone calls on quotes to hit targets
  • Book face to face appointments for the field sales team to identify larger requirements
  • Close sales orders and complete all relevant order paperwork and documentation including purchasing
  • Provide ideas for marketing support and lead generation campaigns
  • Research products as and when a client has a requirement
  • Follow-up on all leads supplied and ensure internal systems are updated
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Competitive basic salary: £23,000 - £28,000 a year
    (depending on experience)
