Technical Manager

We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to join the Custard team, based in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will have the ability to both motivate and retain technical staff, as well as ensure excellent customer service. A technical knowledge would be advantageous, but this is not a requirement, as the key role of the Technical Manager will be to lead the technical team and delegate responsibilities effectively.

  • Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm
  • Salary: £25-35k depending upon experience

The Candidate:

  • You’ll have the ability to work in high-pressure, deadline driven environment.

The Role:

  • You’ll be responsible for the management, development and co-ordination of the Technical Support team, including delivery of KPIs and management of technical workload.
  • You’ll play an active role in shaping the strategic direction within the Technical Support staff and report to senior management and board level.
  • You’ll monitor and manage ticket system and SLAs to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • You’ll ensure customers’ requirements and satisfaction are met and provide an escalation service if required.
  • You’ll work closely with the Projects and Service Delivery team throughout project phase for customers, to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • You’ll ensure the IT function and its support continues to remain current, secure and well-managed and documented to the standard required for ISO accreditation.

The role will involve working with various applications and systems to analyse, diagnose and solve issues from the office to ensure a smooth installation is performed, whilst often travelling out to our clients to carry out installations. The ideal candidate will have a love for technology and the ability to pick up and learn new technologies quickly. This is a fantastic opportunity.

  • Salary: £18,000 to £24,000 / year depending on experience

The Candidate:
