Custard is delighted to have taken part in Christmas Jumper Day 2019 in support of the charity Save the Children.

Our incredible team here at Custard helped to make it the most successful Christmas Jumper Day ever. This year, we were part of a team of 5.1m people – more than in the whole entire history of Christmas Jumper Day!

Christmas Jumper Day took place on Friday 13th December. Employees from all departments joined in to give something back this festive season, with every penny we’ve raised helping children around the world.

Secret Santa at Custard Technical Services

In addition to Christmas Jumper Day the team also exchanged Secret Santa gifts, with an array of fantastic presents from the whole team. Our favourite from the day is this amazing carrot costume given to our Service Engineer, Leigh Crampton – we ‘carrot’ believe how great it looks on him!

We really are so pleased our Custard team were able to support Save the Children again this year. Together with over 5.1m people, we have helped to transform children’s lives and give them a reason to smile this Christmas.

"I’m so proud of the Custard team for all their incredible efforts fundraising for a variety of charities this year. It’s fantastic to be able to raise money for such a great cause, especially at Christmas time. We’re excited to continue fundraising in 2020!"

Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day

Save the Children works to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. We do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.

Christmas Jumper Day is an annual fundraising campaign in the UK and Ireland organised by charity Save the Children. On a specific Friday in December, people are encouraged to make the world better with a sweater and raise funds for Save the Children by wearing a Christmas jumper and making a minimum donation of £2.

Those taking part can wear a Christmas jumper they already own, decorate an existing jumper with festive decorations, or even knit their own. Christmas Jumper Day is popular with schools and workplaces. Groups may take part in additional fundraising activities on the day, as well as making donations.

Save the Children launched their Christmas Jumper Day in 2012 on Friday 14th December.

In 2019, Save the Children's Christmas Jumper Day was on Friday 13th December. To take part people can register their workplace, school or group of family and friends on the Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day website. Make sure you sign up to take part next year!
